Japan 2005
On these pages you will find stories & experiences from my stay in Japan in 2005. Tokyo was my home for a good two months while I attended a Summer School at the United Nations University. My room on the twelfth floor of the UNU building offered a great view of the city and was an experience during the frequent earthquakes. No less interesting was my hitchhiking trip around the Kii-hanto peninsula, full of fantastic onsen (hot springs), important temples, imported beaches and native monkeys. The wonderful city of Bangkok offered me a bit of relaxation at the end of my wonderful trip. Click on the links to read the newsletters in full.
A bit of show ‘n tell on the strange things you can find in Japan: picture guessing competitions. Entry is closed, unfortunately, but can you nevertheless guess the purpose of the objects in the pictures?
